Free, drop-in programs 
Choreographer and educator Lauren Simpson and her collaborators will enact movement installations throughout The Joslyn’s Rhonda &amp; Howard Hawks Pavilion and gardens. Simpson conceives site-specific performances that call attention to the relationships among movement, sound, and space.  
 Her work explores the intersection of bodies and objects, emphasizing the materiality of the body and the agency of things. She hosts a monthly movement workshop called Horseplay which explores improvisational play, contact improvisation, and movement scores. Discoveries from these workshops inform the choreographic direction for her work in Made in the Plains.
