Join us in Witherspoon Hall for an opening weekend program for Made in the Plains, on view Jun 7-Sep 21, 2025.  Featuring new and recent work by twenty artists, this exhibition celebrates the vibrant and diverse artistic communities of the Plains—Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota.

We will hear from the three curators who developed the exhibition, Taylor J. Acosta, PhD, Chief Curator & Director of Collections; Karin Campbell, Phil Willson Curator of Contemporary Art; and Annika K. Johnson, PhD, Stacy and Bruce Simon Curator of Native American Art. They will offer an overview of the exhibition and insights about how these selected artists’ work responds to our current moment.
