Joslyn Young Advocates Summer Social & Artist Conversation
You’re invited to join The Joslyn’s Young Advocates for an evening of art and conversation! On Thursday, June 12, Lee Emma Running, one of twenty artists included in Made in the Plains, will speak about her work featured in the exhibition. Made in the Plains will be on view at The Joslyn from June 7 through September 21.
Lee Emma Running is an artist based in Omaha, NE, who creates monumental public installations on windows, and arresting objects using cast iron, enamel, glass, bone, and handmade paper. For the last 15 years, she has been using this work to engage audiences in conversations about the impact of human-built systems on the natural world.
5:30 pm Join us for snacks and drinks in the Community Room
6 pm Lee Emma Running will speak about her work in the Scott Pavilion. Afterwards, attendees can explore the rest of the exhibition and connect with fellow art advocates.
Additionally, we invite you to stay for a free, outdoor event on the Grand Lawn beginning at 7 pm with tbd dance.collective.
Registration required. Free for Joslyn Young Advocates members and $10 for the general public. This event is 21+ and is perfect for art enthusiasts looking to connect with fellow art advocates. Summer Social is made possible by the Young Advocates Leadership Committee, chaired by Bailey Placzek. Please email Maggie Koenig with any questions.
