Visualizing Literature: Book Club for Art Lovers

Choose one of two opportunities to meet: March 12, 1–2:30 pm or March 15, 10:30 am–noon

Free for Joslyn members, $10 for General Public. Advanced registration is required; walk-ins are welcome if space permits. Register here for the March 15 program.   

Visualizing Literature explores connections between the literary and visual arts through moderated book discussions and gallery tours led by Visualizing Literature Volunteers. Discussions begin in the Community Room located in the Hawks Pavilion and conclude in the galleries. This session will make connections to artwork in All Aboard: The Railroad in American Art, 1840–1955; exhibition admission included with registration.

March book selection: The Wrecker by Clive Cussler and Justin Scott (2009). Set in 1907, Van Dorn Detective Agency operative Isaac Bell is tracking the Wrecker, a mysterious figure who is destroying trains and railroad facilities around the country. This thriller is the second volume of the Isaac Bell Adventure series, a #1 New York Times bestseller.
