Volunteer
As the Museum prepares for a September 10 reopening, we are reimagining ways for people to volunteer. Stay tuned to learn about new volunteer opportunities coming soon. For now, we are introducing the Gallery Volunteer role, for adults, and Jambassadors, for teens.
Gallery Volunteer Program
Gallery Volunteers facilitate a variety of activities with adult and intergenerational audiences in The Joslyn’s galleries. They help ensure that the Museum is a welcoming place where all visitors can bring their own knowledge, creativity, and life stories to participate in experiences that spark curiosity and conversation about art. You do not need to be an art expert to enjoy art and to share that passion with others.
Applications were due June 15. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by July 1 and training begins August 1.

Jambassadors
The Joslyn’s Jambassadors are responsible and motivated teen volunteers who lend their skills to the Learning & Engagement department, helping facilitate art making during studio classes and special events. High school students in this program will gain valuable job experience and community service hours, while working closely with art professionals, children, and families. Prior artistic experience is not required.
Applications are being accepted through June 30 for students in grades 9-12 interested in being a 2024-25 Jambassador. Selected teens will be notified the week of July 22. All Jambassadors must be available to attend training on August 24 and provide fifteen hours of service throughout the school year. Questions about Jambassadors?
