ADA parking spaces are available at The Joslyn, and there is a covered visitor drop-off area at the main entrance. Parking in the Museum lot is free and first come, first served. The Museum’s main and garden entrances are wheelchair accessible, as are our outdoor sculpture gardens and all spaces inside the Museum. Elevators serve all areas of the building. All restrooms and water fountains are wheelchair accessible. If you need to borrow a wheelchair, a limited number are available on a first come, first served basis at the Hawks Pavilion Welcome Desk.

What if I use a wheelchair or other mobility device? 

Service animals are welcome. The animal must be trained to assist a person with a disability and must be under the control of its handler. If a service animal is disruptive, poses a risk to staff or visitors, or physically makes contact with works of art, the handler may be asked to remove the animal from the Museum. Visitors are not allowed to bring emotional support animals into the Museum.

<li>Selected visitor resources are available in Spanish, including the map, self-guided materials, many gallery texts, and digital guide audio clips.</li>
<li>Assistive listening systems are <a href="https://live-joslyn-wp.pantheonsite.io/app/uploads/2025/08/Abbott-Hall-Listen-WIFI-Visitor-Guide.pdf">available in Abbott Hall</a> and for some programs in other spaces.</li>
<li>American Sign Language interpretation is available by request and present at select programs.</li>
<li>Some digital guide stops offer American Sign Language interpretation and verbal descriptions of artworks.</li>
<li>Sensory kits are available to borrow at the Welcome Desk.</li>

What accessibility resources are available to help me enjoy The Joslyn?

The Joslyn offers a written guide, or <a href="https://live-joslyn-wp.pantheonsite.io/app/uploads/2025/08/Social-Narrative.pdf">social narrative</a>, with photographs and short, easy to read sentences. It can be used by anyone, including visitors with accessibility needs and non-English speakers, to prepare for a Museum visit.
