Scrollathon

Scrollathon
Now through Aug 2

Nebraska’s contribution to the National Scrollathon, a project celebrating creativity and community, and commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States, is on view in the Connect Gallery. Guided by artists and brothers Steven and William Ladd, individuals from local organizations and schools participated in Scrollathon workshops at The Joslyn in fall 2025. Each person created two small artworks imbued with a personal story—one to keep, and one to contribute to the collaboration. Stop by to see the completed group artwork, photographs of all the participants, and video capturing the stories of forty individual participants.

This summer, reproductions of Scrollathon artworks from all fifty states, Washington DC, and five US territories will be included in an installation in Washington DC—part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
