Suchitra Mattai uses colorful saris to create intricate tapestries and installations inspired by her cultural identity. After viewing her work, campers will explore color theory as they pour paint on fabric and create strips to weave. We’ll add sculptural elements to our weavings and learn about site-specific art by contributing to a collaborative work.
