A black-and-white photo of a horse is surrounded by paintbrushes, a watercolor paint palette, and illustrated cutouts of a skeleton and a bird's wing on a white surface.

Layered Lens (Teens & Adults)

Sat Aug 8, 10AM–12PM

Sat: Jul 25, Aug 1, 8, 15, 22, 29; 10 am–noon

Learn how mixed media can amplify the mood and meaning of your photos. We’ll turn personal images into powerful visual stories by adding text, paint, and collage. We’ll check out contemporary artists who push the boundaries of photography and focus on building strong concepts—why layers matter and how they transform an image. Traditional photography and the work of contemporary artists who break the mold will inspire what we create in the studio.
