Several students sit around tables in an art classroom, sketching a still life arrangement of vases and fabric. One student in the foreground draws with charcoal, wearing a striped sweater and headphones.

Printed Books (Ages 9–12)

Sat Feb 21, 1PM–3PM

Saturdays: February 21, 28, March 7, 14; 1–3 pm

Learn the ancient techniques of printmaking and bookbinding and explore ways artists today use both art forms. We’ll try techniques, such as collagraph and relief printing, to create personal symbols that tell stories from our lives. We’ll finish our books with a variety of decorative paper and materials, with inspiration from artists in the collection, such as Ed Ruscha and Andy Warhol.

Teaching Artist: Therese Straseski
