Printmaking: Etched Animals – Teens & Adults

Sat Oct 11, 1PM–3PM

Saturdays: September 13, 20, 27, October 4, 11; 1–3 pm

Joslyn Members: $127.50 per series; General Public: $150 per series

Dry-point etching is an intaglio printmaking technique where an image is incised directly onto a plate with a sharp tool, then coated with ink and run through a printing press. Learn this time-honored process while you create an edition of prints inspired by animals found in the collection. We’ll practice rendering various textures, such as fur, feathers, and scales, to create realistic prints of our favorite animals.

Teaching Artist: Christina Kloeckner
