Reduction Printmaking (Teens & Adults)

Sat Mar 21, 1PM–3PM

Saturdays: February 28, March 7, 14, 21, 28, April 4; 1–3 pm

General Public: $144; Joslyn Members: $122.40

Reduction printing is a multicolor process that uses a single block, which is progressively carved away between each layer of color. The artist prints the lightest color first, then carves into the block to reveal the next color, repeating this process until the final print is complete. Students will be guided through this process as they learn to use a professional printing press, to accurately register a block, and to number a limited edition of prints. No previous experience is needed!

Teaching Artist: Cassidy Coalson

Registration is closed.
