Join us each month for a gallery conversation in Through the Lens: American Photographs from the Carter Collection. We’ll spend time with a small selection of works that connect to one of the four thematic sections of the exhibition. We’ll use the slow-looking process—an approach that allows for learning and discovery through extended observation time and conversation.
Themes:
Apr 30: Land, Nature, Territory—featuring works by Ansel Adams, Terry Evans, Laura Gilpin, and Eliot Porter
May 28: People—featuring works by Berenice Abbott, Diane Arbus, Martine Gutierrez, Gordon Parks, Alec Soth, and Carrie Mae Weems
