Spotlight Talks

Wed Jun 17, 12:30PM–1PM

Free, drop-in program

Join us for a 30-minute, midday gallery talk that delves into community-engaged and art historical research of works on view, presented by The Joslyn’s curatorial staff. This program will be offered on select Wednesdays throughout the year.

Featured Work: Selected works in Prairie as Pattern: Native American Beadwork

Cady de la Cruz, Curatorial Assistant for Native American Art, will introduce a new exhibition of Native American beadwork in Gallery J8, Joslyn Building. Prairie as Pattern highlights the artistry adorning regalia and the innovative visual languages that beadwork artists originated through a cross-historical range of works from North America, also known as Turtle Island by many Indigenous peoples.
