April book: The Last Painting of Sara de Vos: A Novel by Dominic Smith (published in 2017). Purchase the book here.

This New York Times bestseller connects three lives across centuries through a single, rare 17th-century Dutch painting by the female painter, Sara de Vos. The story follows the artist in 1631, a Manhattan lawyer in 1957 whose family owns the painting, and an Australian art historian who forges it in the 1950s and later must confront her past forgery in 2000 as a curator. The novel explores themes of art, identity, forgery, and the lives of artists who are women, weaving together historical fiction with a modern mystery.

Mark your calendar for Fall—book announcements to come: Sep 16 and 19, 2026 (registration opens on Jul 1); Nov 18 and 21, 2026.
