A group of people stands in an art gallery, viewing and discussing paintings displayed on a white wall. The floor is wooden, and the scene appears calm and contemplative.

Art Break

Thu Oct 8, 12:30PM–1PM

Free, drop-in program

Join us for a midday break as we spend 30 minutes with one work of art. We’ll delve into the slow looking process—an approach that allows for learning and discovery through extended observation time.

Featured work: Marvin Dorwart Cone (American, 1891–1965), Attic Door No. 2, 1945, oil on canvas, 38 1/4 × 24 in. (97.2 × 61 cm), Joslyn Art Museum, Omaha, Nebraska, Museum purchase, 1945.102, © Marvin Dorwart Cone

Kris Bergquist, Head of Community Programs, will facilitate this conversation.

Meet in Joslyn Building, Lauritzen Gallery J9
