Saturdays are filled with art fun! Stop by for gallery activities, special presentations, and creative exploration designed for all ages. Our activities offer opportunities for creativity and personal reflections on gratitude throughout the Museum.

We are happy to welcome our VIP Visitors, Urban Sketchers Omaha, a group that connects people through the practice of on-location sketching. VIP Visitors is a special invitation program for community groups to join in the fun at our monthly events, Art-tastic Saturdays and Nights at The Joslyn.

A look at the fun this month from 11 am–2 pm: 

Begin at our Welcome Table in the Hawks Pavilion! Pick up a program and map for the day. We can let you know about membership opportunities, upcoming programs, our Bloomberg Connects digital guide, and Art Card self-guide resources. We also can help with any accessibility needs.  
Out & About Storytime with Omaha Public Library, 11 am.
Join David Manzanares, an Indigenous Oaxacan artist, sculptor, and muralist based in Omaha, for an art activity in the Fountain Court. Everyone will have a chance to reflect on their life experiences and add their own work to a feathered serpent sculpture created by the artist. There also will be opportunities to see the artist at work and ask him questions.
There will be two public tours, each one led by our Gallery Volunteers; 11 am, Café Society: Art and Sociability in Paris, 1855–1914; and at 1 pm, The Joslyn’s Highlights. Meet in the Entry Atrium.

Check out our Art Cart station, with opportunities to touch hands-on materials and talk about art with our friendly Gallery Volunteers.  
The Founder’s Room is designated as a quiet space for this event. 
Café Society: Art and Sociability in Paris, 1855–1914, is free to all today; always free to Joslyn members. 
Don’t forget to check out more great spaces—The Cafe offers food and drink for sale. The Shop has beautiful art items for all ages and interests. If you are part of an intergenerational group, be sure to visit Art Works: A Place for Curiosity, an interactive space with nine different art activity stations (children must be accompanied by adults).
