A child with light brown hair sits at a table, working with clay and natural materials. A pencil, magnifying glass, and name cards are on the black tablecloth in front of her.

Patterns in Nature: Ages 9–12

Sat Sep 12, 1PM–3PM

Sat: Sep 12, 19, 26, Oct 3; 1–3 pm

General Public: $80; Joslyn Members: $68

Artists often look to nature’s patterns and forms for inspiration. Students will visit the galleries to explore motifs from the natural world—such as leaves, flowers, and animal tracks—and learn how artists transform them into patterns and design. Using a variety of techniques, they’ll create prints, jewelry, and mixed-media artworks featuring their own nature-inspired patterns.

Teaching Artist: Stephanie Carlson-Pru
