Sadie Barnette Artist Talk

Thu Jul 30, 6PM–7PM

Pre-program: 5 pm, early access to Sadie Barnette, on view in the CAP Gallery; drinks will be available for purchase in Cafe Durham.

General Public: $10; Joslyn Members: Free; registration required at joslyn.org; walk-ins accepted as space allows. Register here.

Join us for a conversation with artist Sadie Barnette and Karin Campbell, Phil Willson Curator of Contemporary Art. Beginning at 5 pm, Museum visitors will have a chance to preview Barnette’s Riley CAP Gallery exhibition (Aug 1, 2026–Jan 3, 2027). Working across media, Sadie Barnette mines both personal narratives and collective histories, exploring how the two continually intersect and diverge. Her exhibition in the CAP Gallery considers how seemingly unremarkable moments from everyday life may be seen as profound.
