Art print featuring Ed Clark’s Flash, a dynamic work of bold abstraction and painterly energy. Printed on heavyweight paper, 15.75" x 12".

Ed Clark’s Flash exemplifies his groundbreaking contributions to postwar abstraction. A pioneer of the shaped canvas and an innovator in the use of unconventional tools—most notably the push broom—Clark created sweeping, energetic compositions that emphasized movement, gesture, and color as pure form. In Flash, the bold expanses of paint and dynamic surface capture a sense of immediacy, reflecting Clark’s belief in the physical act of painting as central to artistic expression. As one of the most influential African American artists of his generation, Clark’s work continues to expand the conversation of Abstract Expressionism and its legacy.
